Jefferson - Larry L. Wilson Sr. 79, born to Herbert Wallace Wilson and Delma Johnson, passed away at home in Jefferson, IA surrounded by family and friends December 6th 2014. Larry L. Wilson was born on September 9, 1935 in Webster City. He was raised and educated in Webster City. Following his education he served with U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. He married Gayle Chase July 16th, 1960. Larry worked at Gypsum Mills-Fort Dodge, salesman for Old Home Bakery, Wonderbread, McGarvey Coffee, Owned G&L groceries in Somers, worked at New Coop-Roelyn; later disabled and he did part time shoe repair, was an avid flea market vendor, and a "Jack of all Trades".

Survived by his wife Gayle Wilson, daughters Shari (Brad) Guilliams, Tammy (Bruce) Binkley, Ellen (Willie) Millard, sons David, Tim, and Larry Jr. (Rena), brother Denny Spitler, sister-in-law Twila Benson, brother-in-laws Kenny Chase, Rick Chase, 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delma Spitler, father Herbert Wilson, son Robbie Wilson, brother and sister-in-laws Lowell Chase and Leola Riley, and his best friend Don Riley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Binkley officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery, Rinard with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Somers - Alberta "Bert" Little 80, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Fulton Lutheran Church, Roelyn with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Township Cemetery, Rinard. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Fulton Lutheran Church, Roelyn. Instead of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City. 

Bert is survived by her husband Thomas; children, Kevin (Connie) Little of Apache Junction, AZ, and their daughter, Kelsey; Scott (Robin) Little of Urbandale and their children: Nicolas, Elizabeth and Caleb; Todd (Renee) Little of Indianola and their children: Stephanie and Andrew; her sister Betty Ibraham of Spring, TX, brothers, Robert Kohlstedt of Des Moines, and Vinayak of Kihei, Hawaii; her aunts, Edna Lee of Radcliffe, Anita Aljets and Edith Aljets both of Fort Dodge; many other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bertha (Aljets) Kohlstedt; sister, Mardella Batz; and triplet siblings who died in childhood. 

Alberta Minnie Geelke Kohlstedt, was born on July 31, 1939 at Yetter, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Sac City. She attended Sac City Community Schools, graduating in 1957. Bert worked for Dairy Farm Equipment, Sac City, while attending school. She then attended Tobin Business College, Fort Dodge, graduating in 1958. Bert worked for American State Bank, Fort Dodge, for five years. She was united in marriage to Thomas Little on January 17, 1960 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Sac City. The couple made their home in Somers. Bert was a stay at home mom who attended countless basketball, football, and baseball games, and many concerts. While Bert raised her and Toms sons, she also worked for local farmers bean walking and riding bars in the bean fields. Bert also worked part-time and volunteered for Cedar Valley and Prairie Valley Schools for 16 years. She also volunteered at Trinity Regional Medical Center for 13 years, totaling over 9,000 hours. Bert was a member of Fulton Lutheran Church, Roelyn and the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). She served as treasurer for the WELCA for many years. Bert was also on the Cedar Township Cemetery Board and served as its treasurer. Bert enjoyed spending time with her boys and attending their events, taking care of her home, pets, playing cards, trips to the casino, and playing Words with Friends. She also enjoyed bookkeeping. Bert loved and treasured each and every day of her life.
