Rinard - Marian passed away on Friday, at the Sunny Knoll Care Centre in Rockwell City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Satre, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery near Rinard at a later date. Visitation will be on Friday February 4th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include her son, Kenny Sibbitt and his wife Jen of Rinard and their children Dani and Lincoln Sibbitt; daughter, Karen Stevens and her husband Lyle of Fort Dodge; several nieces and nephews; and her cats, Puff and Copper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Denzil and Bertha Davis Dooley; brothers, Don and Dale Dooley; sisters, Delores Wood and Phyllis Martens; and an infant brother. Marian Lydia Dooley was born on May 6, 1937, in Rinard. She attended schools there. Following her education she lived and worked in Omaha, NE, returning to Rinard in 1966 to raise her children. Marian worked part time at the Rinard Library. She was later employed by Heartland Communications for several years. She loved playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, yard sales, football, and especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Marian especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
