SOMERS - Gladys is survived by her daughter Janet Walker of Cedar Rapids; her son Fred (Denise) Walker of Swisher; three grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Busch of Montrose, Minnesota, Kyle Walker of Omaha, and Kate Walker of Davenport; great-grandson Mason Busch; and brothers, Marion (Doris) Moeller of Somers, Gene (Muriel) Moeller of Ft. Dodge, and Don (Virginia) Moeller of Somers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph H. Walker; parents, Frederick and Minnie Miller Moeller; and brother Charles Moeller.
Gladys Irene Moeller Walker was born December 31, 1922 at Somers. She graduated from Somers High School. Following her education, Gladys worked at Richie's Grocery in Somers. On June 1, 1947, she was united in marriage to Joseph H. Walker at the United Methodist Church in Somers. The couple established their home in Somers, where Gladys was a homemaker for most of her life. In 2004, she became a resident of Sunny Knoll Care Centre. Joe passed away on April 15, 2011. The couple were married for over 63 years. Gladys was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, and UMW.
